A2K (formerly known as Accutron 2000) is a small, simple, and
unobtrusive IRC bot. It differs from the other n+1 IRC bots out
there in that it is meant to do only a few things, do them well, and
generally be seen and not heard. It is written in Python, and thus should
theoretically run anywhere you have Python and a working TCP/IP
stack. A2K has been tested on Linux, Solaris and Windows 98 on various
versions of Python 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0. For more information on A2K, why
I wrote it, how to use it, and other bits of questionable attitude,
please RTFM. For information on changes made to
A2K, see the ChangeLog.
Development of A2K has ceased a long time ago!
If you'd like to download A2K, head to the download
page. For technical support and bug reporting, step over to the project
page. (Or use the various links below.) And if you'd like to be
informed when we roll a new release of A2K, by all means subscribe to
the accutron2000-announce
mailing list.
READ THIS PLEASE: If you are having problems running A2K or
need to report a bug, please don't mail me directly (or anyone
else working on this program.) Please use the support/bug areas on the
project
page - that's what they are there for. Also, please note that
support for A2K is provided on a time-available basis. This is not my
full-time job (duh) and I do have a life outside IRC.
WARNING: The Surgeon General has determined that taking IRC
too seriously is dangerous to your health.
That is all. Thank you for your time.
